Margin Health View
Not enough time to manage your margins? This free new feature is for you!
The Margin Health View allows you to quickly and intuitively manage your margins by displaying your Purchase Margins, Sales Margins, Inventory Levels and more at a quick glance.
The new Margin Health View was designed to quickly answer these questions:
How to Use the Margin Health View
From your toolbar, select Operations – Inventory – Margin Health View
The Margin Health View displays sales and purchase information for each inventory item based on POS Import Sales Price and Receiving entries. You may filter the inventory items by vendor, top/bottom sellers, inventory categories and locations using the Selection Criteria tab at the top. Once you have filtered the inventory list in the Selection Criteria, click on the column headings to sort the data by that column.
Making Sales, But Losing Money? Check your Margin Per Unit
Look for negative numbers in the margin column. Double-check the Cost and the Retail pricing and adjust as necessary to give yourself a positive margin for each and every item.
Are your Sale Prices Hindering your Profits?
Compare your Purchase Margin to your Sold Margin to find products you may have discounted too deeply, and/or identify products that can go on sale without hurting your bottom line.
Too Much Backstock? Check your Current Quantity on Hand and Date Item Last Purchased
Look for abnormally high levels of inventory, and verify when the last order was placed. Are you over-ordering for your current needs? Adjust your future orders accordingly.
Do you have a Theft Problem?
Sorting the Margin Health View by the Current Quantity on Hand column may bring missing inventory items to light. The first step to fixing this problem is recognizing there is one.
